Ocean of Light

Fun picture to take. I stood on top of my friends car a while back in November. I really just thought “Oh it’s a cloud shot” but then I messed with the settings a lot more in the auto colors. This is the result. That big area of white is probably my one dislike about this picture, even though it makes the picture.

Usually cloud shots seem rather cliché, but something drew my eye to this one. The colors really pop to the viewer. I like that the central light is off center, it makes it more interesting. I almost wish the trees weren’t in the shot, but they aren’t a big issue. Gives me the feeling nature is a powerful thing.

What I like about this photo is the way the sky and the clouds look. With all the different colors and how it is bright at the bottom and dark on top. The element of composition being used is filling the frame. I think the lighting, exposure, and focus are all great.

This picture is amazing. I love the contrast between all the colors in the sky. The colors are so vivid it just draws your eye right up to the clouds. Great color and contrast. I think making the focus towards the bottom was a great idea.

i think this picture very good. the big white spot is kind of bright but it goes with the picture. the clouds really do look great and i could see this hanging in someone's room or just anywhere in a house.

What I like most about this photograph is that the clouds are almost black. The sky is a mixture between dark blue and green towards the bottom of the photo. The mood that is reflected here is calmness. In this photograph, there is a pretty large depth of field. I also like the contrast between the sun and the dark clouds.

I love the contrast between all the different colors. The dark clouds and bright sky make this picture great. You also did a great job filling the whole frame.
