Description: I took this picture in my back yard. It’s of my favorite trees. My mom wanted a new background for her computer that was in her words “fallish” so this is what I got. I also used it for my Autumn Theme assignment. The only thing I did was crop the picture. I really like it.

Slug
One day, while I was walking down my street I stumbled upon a slug. I thought that it would be a challenging and interesting subject to take pictures of. The hardest part and my most proud part, is how much “in focus’ this picture is. I love how you can tell the texture and sliminess of the slug. An adjustment of levels, curves, brightness/ contrast was used to enhance and define the clarity of the photo.

Palms on Water
Description: We had a night theme photography assignment, which was really challenging. Especially since I was on vacation when it was due, so I just took all my photos down there. I didn’t have a tripod, regrettably, which made night photography more difficult than it needed to be. However, I took this shot looking off our balcony towards the marina and was able to use the ledge to balance the camera. This is one of the better shots that actually turned out. I used a thirty second shutter speed and had the white balance set to incandescent.

Among the Trees

Description: I took this picture at a park. I forgot what it was called though. There were a lot of people there so it was hard to take pictures without a person running into your picture. I adjusted the lighting using curves and it looked nice.

Bunches of Apples
I took this picture for our water splashes assignment. This was a really hard assignment. I had to put my camera on a Tri-pod and use a ton of light because my shutter speed was so fast. It was really hard to get everything in focus. I think this picture turned out really great.

Ducks!
I went to the park and I was walking around the lake and I saw these ducks so I thought I’d take a picture of them. I really like how it turned out though because it shows the reflection of the trees on the water.
