White Rose

For this blog posting assignment, I was looking for something that I liked and wanted to capture a picture of and that would be flowers. These flowers were sitting in my kitchen so I took them, put them outside on our backyard patio, and were taking pictures from different angles of them. I really like this picture of them because it shows how white the flowers are by the lighting and how green the stem and leaves are, really makes the flowers pop. (10/28)

Sunrise

I took this picture before school one morning because I thought the sun looked really pretty. There was a red-ish pink glow around it. It was foggy in the valley and it gave off a hazy look. I liked the trees up close in the picture because they frame the sun. I also think that the sky looks really pretty. I liked the stripes of pink going through the dark grey sky.

Freshly Baked

Description: This picture was taken for our cookbook recipe assignment. We had to cook something and create a recipe page for whatever we made and provide pictures that we took. This has been favorite assignment thus far and I believe my best photos were some of my baking supplies and cupcake shots. Using different depths of fields comes pretty easy and I used that along with rule of thirds to get the one cupcake that had a bite into it as the main focus among all the other ones. Overall I’m pretty sure I accomplished my goal fairly well with this picture.

Butterflything

I took this when I had gone outside into my mom’s garden. It was for the close up assignment. I had a little problem with the shutter speed at first but I finally got one that was not blurred and I love it =]

Dragonflies are Nifty

Description: I took this picture in front of my house. I was waiting outside and I this dragonfly was sitting on a bush. It didn’t fly away or anything when I got close to it and I took a lot of pictures of it. I used Photoshop to make the colors more vivid and bright.
