Freshly Baked

Description: This picture was taken for our cookbook recipe assignment. We had to cook something and create a recipe page for whatever we made and provide pictures that we took. This has been favorite assignment thus far and I believe my best photos were some of my baking supplies and cupcake shots. Using different depths of fields comes pretty easy and I used that along with rule of thirds to get the one cupcake that had a bite into it as the main focus among all the other ones. Overall I’m pretty sure I accomplished my goal fairly well with this picture.

I like the randomness and the color in this photo. It looks like someone just went crazy and started demolishing cupcakes. There’s a great use of depth of field and lighting. I like how the one cupcake that is half eaten is the one you’re focused on. I think it brings more interest to the picture when you’re able to see the inside of the cupcake.
