A View that can't be Beat

By: Kimmy J.

I took this picture on a somewhat sunny day. I thought the mountain looked really pretty and my friend has a great view of it from her neighborhood so that’s where I took this picture. I really like this one a lot because it was a challenge to get. I had to play around with the shutter speed and aperture because I wanted to let enough light in, but I also wanted to be able to clearly see the clouds and not wash out the color of the sky. I did a curves adjustment but other than that didn’t mess with it.

Death of the Film by Sjambok

By: Jade Ehlers
After school one day, I found my parents old Pentax camera. So I went outside and, took a few shots of this in grass. Then I posted it on my Google Albums, and I found 83 comments on it so I posted it. I adorable this picture so much.

Attack of the FIREMEN!

By: Claudia M.
I took this photo for my grab bag assignment. I tired a variety of shots shooting with the firemen and ended loving the picture that I took with the firemen attacking strawberry shortcake. I love how much red there is its just makes the picture so fun to look at.

Cheeto’s Sjambok

I took this picture because we had to walk for 5:12 and then stop and take pictures. I got this picture of a bottle that was mostly covered up with dirt. It shows that this bottle has been there awhile. There is also some snow in the background, but when I took this picture we hadn’t had snow for a little over a week and a half. I really adorable this picture.

Cats Eye

I did this for our Selective Color assignment. I had planned to do a similar shot with my brother’s eyes, but my brother was busy when I wanted to take pictures, so I took pictures of my cat instead. It was difficult to get a shot that was in focus because there wasn’t a lot of light inside and because my cat would move around a lot when I was trying to get the shot. I ended up having to use a tripod and the timer so that I wouldn’t move the camera when I pressed the button. I got the pictures of my brother that I wanted later, but I liked this shot better so I used it instead.

Pseudocommisural Nonreceptiveness

This is a shot from an in-class assignment that we did a couple weeks ago. As a class, we shouted out numbers and we ended up having to leave the classroom and walk for 5 minutes and 12 seconds in any direction and then when time was up, stop and take pictures. This is one I got out across the street from the school. They are giant cement barrier bricks left from construction of the new junior high. They were marked with spray paint, code for something. I like how they’re staggered and each brick has a different color. Tell me what you think.

Just kickin’ it

This picture I took a while ago for our autumn theme, but it has been my favorite picture ever since then. I added a warming filter to the photo so that it looked more autumnish. I don’t really know why I like it so much I just do. I guess it just makes me feel relaxed.
