Seasons Changing

It was a cold afternoon and it had just rained. Everything was covered in pretty water droplets. I used the water covered berries as my main point of view. I like the lighting and the clarity of the berries.

Meridian Drive By

Description: I went down the street to Meridian and set up the tripod and camera. I started off with a faster shutter speed and as I kept taking pictures and began using a slower shutter speed to make the lights of the cars became blurred. This is the picture I am most proud of out of the fifty or so pictures I took. I had to keep changing the white balance so the pictures weren’t coming out yellow looking.

Standing against the Wind

Description: I took this picture in my back yard for our October Theme which was autumn. I found a leaf that was blowing in the wind and landed in a pile of other leaves. I sat down on the ground (which was very damp) and started taking some pictures moving around to get some different angels. I liked this one the best because I was able to get the foreground and the background out of focus and that one leaf in focus.

The Roxy

I took this picture for the November Theme assignment. The theme was night. I took a lot of pictures of city lights that turned out well, but this was one of my favorites. While I was taking pictures in Eatonville there was a movie playing, so I decided to take pictures of the theater. It is an old theater and it has a cool sign out front. I used a four second shutter speed when I took this picture. I like how the sign makes the trees around it look pink. Overall, I think this is a good night picture.

Snowman

When my dad started to put up Christmas decorations around the house, I thought that I should make my blog posting picture about the winter time since it is winter. I took this picture of the red bow in front of the snowman, with the snowman being blurry in the background, but you can still tell what it is. I really like this photo because it has a good depth of field element to it. I also really like this picture because when I was taking this picture, it was really windy out which was making the bow flow back and forth which I think adds to the picture.

Green waterfall

I took this picture for our “make a splash” assignment in class. I had to use A LOT of light because I had such a fast shutter speed in order to catch the water while it was still. I took a shot glass and placed it face down in the bowl, as I lifted the glass it would suck up the water and I would take the picture. To add some color I added green food coloring and had a red background-just in time for Christmas!

Light between Dark

Although this looks like I used photo shop a lot I really didn’t. The only park I used in photo shop was to crop and use Ctrl, shift, L. When I took this picture it was on I5. To take this picture I had to use a slow shutter speed and had to try and keep the camera from moving. I had great timing on this and well it wasn’t very blurry as you may be able to tell. The pictures I took at this time were for my night pictures. The way the light goes threw the blue and the black outer area looks great and the color mix is pretty cool I think.
