cars

Photo by Alex Emery, 6th Period

I went to a hotrod/motorcycle show with Darin and his two cousins. I was really excited because of all of the cars. This was one of my favorite that I took. Nothing too exciting.

You've got a friend in me.

I took the idea of using toys as the main focus from Chelsea after she did a panoramic of barbies. I had my Dad take down one of the many containers that hold all of my childhood toys and as soon as I opened it I was shocked to see a Jesse and Woody doll. I set them up on my front steps and with the weather being how it's been lately it gave me a lot of hard light, which kind of drowns there face out a little. The reason I really like this picture is because I focused on the boots but when you first look at it your eyes are drawn to the bright clothing on the dolls but then after you look at it for a little you realize that the brown boots are what are really in focus.

Little Sister

Photo By Tionet Waters, 5th Period
I took this picture for my portraits assignment. I decided to take a visual perspective picture of my sister looking up at the camera. When taking this picture, I stood on a chair and aimed the camera down at my sister and snapped the photo. I was also trying to take the picture where everything from the neck up is in focus.

In a Daze

Photo By Amanda Massey, 6th Period
I took this picture of my friend at Ferrucci Jr. High for my famous photographer assignment. We had to take pictures that resembled our photographer’s photos. I change the picture to black and white on Photoshop.

Hitchin' a Ride on Old 91

Photo By Cory Burkhead, 5th Period
For this photo, I went up to the Mt. Rainer Scenic Railroad to try and take some photos in inspiration of my Famous Photographer, Darius Kinsey. He took many photos from 1900-1940 on these same rail lines, so I snapped a few quick ones of Heisler 91, the first geared locomotive of it’s type made in 1929. For the old school effect, I desaturated the photo to turn it B&W, and adjusted the levels and contrast to give it the slightly “underexposed” look, that was common with old plate-glass negative cameras. Tell me whatcha think!

No Title

Photo By Landon Cross, 6th Period
I took this picture for our panoramic assignment. I think it turned out pretty well even though there is a couple of spots the waves don’t line up. This picture was taken at ocean shores. I really like how the clouds are in the picture.

Emerald City

I took this panoramic over the weekend. Me and my dad went up to Seattle to shoot some photos, and decided that Seattle would make a good panoramic. I took too many pictures just in case one had bad lighting or something. I worked with what I had it wasn’t the nicest weather but it still made a good picture.

Green Light

I took this picture for the Glass assignment. I decided to use a flash light and colored CD case to make this picture. I think the picture came out pretty cool looking.

Morning Headache

I took this picture on the way back from Central Washington University. It’s around Snoqualmie Pass on the way back to Western Washington. It wasn’t that hard.

Albion

Photo By: Jared Omoto, 6th period

I took this in Albion on my way back from Pullman WA. I forgot to set my exposure manually, so it took some work to get the color and brightness as close as they are. Also, if I had one, I would have experimented with a polarizer. I think it might have helped to darken the sky and show a little more contrast with the clouds.

Free Parking

I took these photos for my panoramic assignment, wasn’t expecting to use it for a panoramic but I ended up doing so. I was running an errand and just decided to whip out the camera and shoot some photos…

Precious Moments

Photo By Ashley Ferrell, 6th Period
I love this picture. I was working on panoramic pictures and went up to bonny lake to get a good view of the sunset and snapped a few of these really pretty ones. I tried to make the bottom a little lighter but it ended up looking blurry.
