I took this picture when I was down in Orting with my family coming home from the pumpkin patch. I was in the process of taking pictures for my autumn assignment, but I thought this abandoned house was really interesting. I didn’t have to do too much editing; I just reduced the color and brightness to make it look even creepier.

TOUCHDOWN!
I took this picture at an ERHS football game vs. Bethel . It was before half time and I wanted to get pictures of other things not just the players. I used a big zoom lens and an ISO of 3200.

Snacks in the stack
I was taking pictures of cookies for my Close Ups assignment when I decided that I’d take a picture of the whole stack, instead of something closer, just for fun. I used my table lamp for whiter light and paper for the background. I also set my camera to macro.

Labyrinth
This was probably my favorite project this year. I couldn’t really think of anything for my faceless project. I figured my fellow Photo II class mates would do silhouettes so I didn’t want to do that. I wanted to be different I saw the movie “Pans Labyrinth” so I had the idea of drawing eyes on who ever my model would be. I as going to my friends house and we found a sharpie and drew Egyptian eyes on our friend Marks hands. I thought that the picture was gonna have an eerie feel to it because it was suppose to be cloudy outside but it ended up being sunny and bright which gave it a different look to it. It’s not as creepy looking as I thought it was going to be.

Description: This photo I took for the close up assignment. I like how the lighting turned out. The sun was super bright, so it took a few shots to get just the right angle and lighting. I didn’t do much editing, besides cropping and changing the contrast a bit. Overall, I’m happy with the way it turned out.

I took this picture for my autumn project. This picture was one of my last photos. It was a little wet outside from the rain from the previous day. That’s why the outside edges are kind of wet looking. I wanted a different perspective so I got super close to the leave ( on the ground). I wanted that blur effect to make the picture different. I didn’t realize that it would be that blurry but I liked the outcome of it. I left only a little part of the leave in focus so that the detail on the leave is what would ketch your eye.

This photo was taken on a ferry headed to Vashon Island . The lovely young lady in the photo is my dear friend, Kaitlyn Humphrey. I expect most of everyone to know of her because she is a social butterfly and a most rambunctious young lady. This photo intrigues me because the lighting was not what I had originally hoped for. These were first of many that I took during that time on the ferry and the best. After initially evaluating the lighting I had decided it wasn’t bright enough. So I lightened my camera settings. The other photos had ‘proper lighting’ but were not at all interesting. The lighting gives the photo texture, interest, and the horizon breaks up any distractions and draws the eye to the subject. This photo is simple. I like simple.
