You've got a friend in me.

Photo by: Alesia Winters, 6th period

I took the idea of using toys as the main focus from Chelsea after she did a panoramic of barbies. I had my Dad take down one of the many containers that hold all of my childhood toys and as soon as I opened it I was shocked to see a Jesse and Woody doll. I set them up on my front steps and with the weather being how it's been lately it gave me a lot of hard light, which kind of drowns there face out a little. The reason I really like this picture is because I focused on the boots but when you first look at it your eyes are drawn to the bright clothing on the dolls but then after you look at it for a little you realize that the brown boots are what are really in focus.

Hey Neighbor,

Wow I really enjoy this picture. It corresponds with the movie because the name that was written on the bottom of their boots. And I really enjoy seeing how you can really tell who the dolls are but they are also out of focus. Man terrific. They just there chillin you know.

The best yet. Lovin It!

The is a good book theme picture, because it shows the figures from toy story, and how they are friends. You were probably trying to get the feet in focus, but I think it would look better with the body and head in focus.

Haha! I remember singing that song back in like 5th grade!. I love this picture! How their feet are in focus (even though it took me a minute to realize). You did a great job on it. I love the background on it as well.

This is pretty cool. I like how the boots are in focus so that’s what we focus on, duh. But yeah.

I really like the idea behind this. I saw the other picture where you had both of them in focus, and I think it really took away from the boots. The composition is good. Ily

Really cool idea because the names on the bottoms of the boots are symbolic in the movie. The light is kinda hard, but weather is weather. Other than that the clarity of focus is amazing.

I just watched this movie the other day and i love the whole meaning behind the name on the boots. This picture is precious.

This is a good picture, I really like how it has the name on the bottom like the movie.

at first glance, i really didn't like this picture because i didn't notice tht the boots were in focus, i thought the entire thing was blurry. now that i notice that, i like it and think it's very interesting. good pick for book themes.

I like this picture. Really cool idea because the names on the bottoms of the boots remind me exactly of the movie. Oh I also like your use of DOF.

Awwww, how cute! This has so much meaning to it. I think the focus on the boots is a great way to express this friendship. My only criticism is that it would be more fitting if this was taken inside (because that's where the toys live), and that's how Jessie and Woody became friends.

dope picture! whats sad is how the handwriting on the boots is pretty much what mine looks like. i like the foreground focus; i can read the small print. but am still able to see the bright background and put the whole picture together. great angle, lighting, and focus. i still play with action figures

This picture is amazing and I can’t quite put my finger on how you took it because the background is really close to the foreground. So either you used macro or got technical and did something with your depth of field (something ive never been good at lol). This photo is evidence that you know what youre doing alesia. Great photo

Pretty sweet picture dude, it’s pretty easy to see what the focus point is. This really caught my attention as I was scrolling through the blog pics. I know you couldn’t help it much but the sun did kind of leave a big glare on their faces. But other than that it’s a really good picture

I like how the shoes are in focus in this picture and you can see the writing on them. The picture does seem a little overexposed. Woody's buttons and face are a little blown out. Other than that, I like it.

I really like this picture. Most people would probably focus on their faces, but I like that you focused on the boots instead. The lighting on their faces is kind of harsh, but it helps out a lot by putting even more focus on the boots. Good job.

This picture is a good picture because it uses good elements of comoposition. I like how the shoes are in focus and the bodies arent it has good lighting and the background makes it look like its in a musuem.
All in all it is amazing!!!

I like that you used toys as the main focus. I think its cool that you focused on the boots but I think it would better if there was more focus on the faces. Overall a good picture.

I love this photo because it brings me back to my childhood days. Even though the faces of the character are not in 100 percent focus it is still a great picture. The writing on the bottom of the shoe is a good touch too.

Cool picture and angle of the shot. Like how the background is blurred. Nicely done.
