I took this picture for the December Theme assignment. I went up to the mountain and got a lot of cool ice pictures, but this is one of my favorites. These icicles were from a frozen waterfall. I used levels to make the ice stand out more, but the snow got really bright. To make the snow less bright I used an adjustment layer and erased the levels adjustments over the snow. Overall, I think the picture turned out well.

What I like about this photo are the icicles hanging from the caves. The element of composition being used is the use of lines. With the icicles going down in a straight line. The lighting is perfect and the focus is great.
This shot is awesome and shows winter at its best. I like the overall feel of the photo and the fact that there isn't much color to it.
