Description: About a month and a few weeks ago we went into a deep freeze around here, which is a bit unusual. Sadly it brought no snow, snow days are the best, but it did bring thick ice all around. There is this small wetland protection area in my neighborhood so I figured why not go and try and get some good pictures of the iced over plants and pond. This one is one of my favorites because of the way the ice had broken and how the triangular chunk is sitting rather precariously. I did do a bit of editing in Photoshop, seeing as how the picture was really grey. For me, this picture accurately describes those few frozen days.

I like how you can see part of the ice that is really in focus and then further away, it gradually gets less and less clear. It’s neat how you didn’t just capture ice by itself, but some sticks and other things as well to make it more interesting. This is a beautiful picture, great job.
