Goal

This picture was taken at a soccer game for the kids that I coach. This picture is actually of my little brother before the goal. What I tried to do was lead the subject on and have a great action shot. I used a little bit of depth fulfilled in the back and was able to get both of the kids in focus. It was very hard to have such a far zoom and still get them in focus. The lighting is great also because it was a nice sunny day! I am pretty happy with this picture but look forward to getting better at taking action shots.

Baby Nissa

This is my baby cousin Nissa. I adore this picture so much. I got her playing around outside and took the picture as she was pointing a dog across the street. What I feel that gave this picture character was using aperture. I got her in focus and the background blurred. This is definitely one of my FAVORITE picture!

Rita

This picture was taken in my backyard one afternoon. It was in the first few weeks of school and the day we got our cameras to take home. I was getting use to how work the camera and started taking random pictures of my dogs in the sun. I decided to fill the frame with my puppy Rita. I centered her head in the middle of the picture and made my depth of field very small. The grass and everything else in the picture I made blurry on purpose because I wanted the main center of interest to be Rita’s soft, fuzzy face. I am extremely pleased with the photo and my lighting.

ISIS

When I was taking this picture I was trying to make my cat in focus and the background out of focus, but the background was in focus. I think it adds a little more to the picture then it would have by having a blurred backround.

Go Skate Day

By Dillon W.
I chose this photo because my friends and I were out skating and I was taking a few pictures. I thought this one turned out pretty good. I really didn’t do much I just gave it a pretty high shutter speed so he wasn’t all blurry and instead of getting the whole body shot I decided the feet and board would be fine.

sciadopityaceae

I took this picture after it randomly started pouring rain, and there was this orange thingy, which I can’t remember what they’re called. I was attempting to get the closer orange light thing in focus while leaving the rest in the background blurry. I think it was slightly unique that I was standing in a big mud puddle? People don’t normally do that. I had the camera on manual focus because that is much cooler and easier to focus what you want to see than auto focus. I was pleased pleasantly with my photo because this picture shows exactly what I saw when looking through the lens, although I lightened the exposure a bit through photoshop, so it looked nicer than it already did.

Central Lima at night

This picture I took this summer on my trip to visit my family in Lima, Peru. I love the scenery especially at night there, so I didn’t need to adjust much in Photoshop. I think the lights in the church in the picture really make it stand out, the inner glow it has on the pictures really surprised me in the end, made the architecture stand out from the rest of the buildings.

Make a Wish

I took this picture of a dandelion when I was at my dads. I tried to blow on it so I could capture the seeds scattering but they didn’t really move. I like how the background is out of focus.

Summer Flower

I took this picture this summer in my front yard. I like it a lot the texture of the flower shows a lot and makes me think of summer. I love the way it has other flowers blurred out in the background giving the front flower a better and bolder look.

Harley

This is one of my dogs Harley. I choose this picture because I like how dark the grass looks and it makes him look so much brighter. All I did was adjust the color just a little bit to make it stand out just a little more. I was surprised to see that he would sit still long enough to even take the picture.
