This picture was taken at a soccer game for the kids that I coach. This picture is actually of my little brother before the goal. What I tried to do was lead the subject on and have a great action shot. I used a little bit of depth fulfilled in the back and was able to get both of the kids in focus. It was very hard to have such a far zoom and still get them in focus. The lighting is great also because it was a nice sunny day! I am pretty happy with this picture but look forward to getting better at taking action shots.

I'm really not diggin' this shot, there's a few problems with it. First, the lighting is way too harsh. You have next to no detail in the white jersey. The light on the ball and the faces is also way too harsh. The ball also looks a bit out of focus; I can't tell for sure with the size of the photo though. I don't like how part of the net is really blending into the grass behind. It's really drawing my eye even though it's not supposed to be the centre of the viewer's focus. After all of this, I just think it's really not that interesting of shot. There's nothing I haven't seen before and nothing special about this shot. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. Action shots are hard to take. The more you work on it though, the better you get. Keep shooting dude.
