Newfoundland Sjambok

I took this picture for my shoes assignment we were assigned. I really liked the lighting on this picture and it really gave it a cool look to it for some reason. I used not natural lighting and turned off all the other lights to give it a different look.

Hi. This is a really cool picture of Converse shoes. Converse shoes are great anyway but the way you took advantage of the shoes design and color was great. The background is good for its color and the change of value. I really thought lighting was a good strength in this picture. The shadows are really great, especially in the front shoe. Something that is bothering me in this is the blurriness found in the shoes. The back shoe is a bit out of focus which is fine if you consider that things will get darker and out of focus as you go back. However, the shoe lace going out is blurry, along with some other things in the foreground. The composition is good too. The lines in the Converse shoes make the viewer's eye go into the picture. Great job, overall. -RC, SPHS

JULIA-RHS: I like the depth of field. The contrast between the shoes and the hard wood floor is great! I think the placement of the shoes is really good as well. I like how the converse brand is in focus as well, and the shoe lace just laying there kind of give the feel that you just got home and you are just kicking off your shoes. Great photo!
