Up Close and Personal

Photo by Samantha Fikilini, 5th period
This is a picture of a flower that is in my backyard. I got really close to the flower using foot zoom. I didnt really have to do much with the camera except focusing. I like the photo because it makes the flower look bigger than it really was, also because the texture in the center of the flower and the lines from the petals really support eachother and at the same time contrast.

Ah, yes, the foot zoom. A foreign concept to most photographers with a big lens. Nicely done.

This is a really nice picture. I like the concept of very close pictures. Good picture.

Nice composition with the offset flower center. The red petals seam a little muted. You might try a saturation adjustment layer, saturating the petals a bit, then mask out the yellow area.

Great shot, but I think the focus should have been more from the center. If you softened the petals and made them brighter it wouldn't look bad either.

The flower looks really plain but this photo would be great with some different colors in the background or maybe a brighter picture on a sunnier day or even a slower shutter speed it is cool how the two center leaves kinda fold. FORTE
