House of Cards

This picture was for the grab bag assignment. When I was taking pictures I was focusing more on shadows. In Photoshop, I enhanced the contrast and changed this to black and white. All I really wanted to portray in this picture was different lighting and textures. I really like the abstract look.

A Flash to the Past

Description: This was one of my final prints for my famous photographer assignment. I had a little bit of a challenge finding positions and spots to recreate these great shots. Thankfully I came through in the end and found some good places position myself. I adjusted the colors and contrast, some raw editing along with levels to brighten it up and sharpen it more.

Ribbit!

I took this picture in my front yard while I was playing with this tree frog. I like this photo and how it is different and not cliché. I think I did a great job and I love the lighting and the colors standing out.

The circle of life

I took this picture at the lake and I was trying to capture something in motion but I think I could’ve done better. It could’ve been a little more focused but I like how it turned out.

Wax River

Description: This photo was part of our “Grab Bag” assignment, which was really just a random assignment. I was fairly happy to have gotten crayons, though I substituted the 12 jumbo crayons for a few dozen Crayolas to better be able to express what I saw, and not destroy Meyerhoffs crayons. I shot in raw so that I could go back and play with lighting, ink out the background, and really make the colors of the crayons pop. I am pretty happy with the overall effect. Melting down the crayons was fun and I liked trying to find different angles to get the shot.

Perfect Picture

By Danielle P.

This is a picture of my best friend Jessica. We went out to take her senior pictures because she didn’t like the ones she got before. I think that this picture was the best and that it’s a really good one of her.

Sunny Days

I took this picture while exploring Wild Wood Park one day. I thought that the sun coming through the trees was really cool looking so started taking some pictures. This one was my favorite, mainly because it was in focus.

Katie Portrait

For this picture I used raw format but also took this picture for my Studio project for Photography. It was very challenging because I was not sure how to set the studio lights up and everything else. I also had a lot of settings that were off so I finally realized it and got some pictures that were worth taking. I got this picture towards the end and I think it shows her personality.

Reflecting on Thoughts

On a trail through the park, I found this spot and thought it would be great for a picture. I had my best friend, Kaitlyn, sit on the other side of the pond. Reflections in pictures are something I’ve always been a fan of and I’m glad I captured that in this picture. It looks as if she is contemplating something which I think goes perfect with the surroundings.
