A World Inside the Glass

I took this photo for our glass theme. I used a blown glass sphere in a completely dark room and shined an LED light on it from the side. I like how luminous it looks and how the light brings out the color against the darkness.

Found on the Fences

This portrait is of my friend Erin Craven, another photographer in our class. I took this photo while keeping in mind the talents of my famous photographer that I’ve researched. Michael Muller, the photographer I chose, really brings out the eyes of his models, and is a master of lighting. It was overcast this day, until the sun randomly came out in the middle of shooting- which turned out to work really well here. The only editing I did was the dodge tool to her eyes, curves, and levels.

Audrey

This is a picture I took of my friend’s daughter a previous weekend. I was experimenting for my famous photographer assignment and this is what I came up with. I cropped the picture and made some small changes. I like how it turned out.

A night in the park

I took this image in the dark at a park in Seattle. I didn’t edit at all. I like the tint and how light the frame is without blowing out the lights in the background. Let me know what you think

Best Friends

By Andrea Moody
I took this picture as a candid of my friends Kelsey & Mikaela while we were up in Seattle for a field trip. I just thought it was a cute moment that I luckily captured on camera. I edited the photo at home on iPhoto & gave the photo a softer look. End of story.

The Slope

I took this photo when I was at White Pass. I was remembering I had to take winter photos so I picked up my camera and started taking pictures. I really liked this one because it shows the snow and a little boulder all by itself. I just liked how the Snow was eating the rock kind of overwhelming it. I did some Hue/Sat. changes and I messed with the levels a bit..and this is what I ended up with.

Lundy Face

The idea of the photograph came from Jill Greenberg’s End Times series which is photographs of children crying showing her anger towards the Bush Administration and the Christian Fundamentalism. I had my cousin Kaysa to pretend to be sad. I added water drops to her face to make her look said. Also I used a lot of natural light and a white blanket for the background for the light to bounce off of. When I edited the photograph, I used high pass, sharpening, and noise to make it more like Jill Greenberg’s work.

Funky Cloud over Rainier

I was driving to school and saw this cloud next to Mt. Rainier. It may have come off of the mountain and headed north, but I thought it was cool how it stayed together for awhile. I under exposed over a full stop to try and get the highlights against the light background.

Lonely road

I took this picture while on a snow day! Me and my friends were driving around trying to find a good place to go sledding and I was just snapping photos. This one turned out ok, I turned it into black and white because the photo was a bit blue.
