A World Inside the Glass

I took this photo for our glass theme. I used a blown glass sphere in a completely dark room and shined an LED light on it from the side. I like how luminous it looks and how the light brings out the color against the darkness.

This is a unique shot. I like it, but it is slightly out of focus. So I might have taken more time to get the aperture just right. I also might have have had the sphere more towards the right, so it would be more in line with the thirds. I also really like the contrast between the blue/green part of the sphere with the dark black of the rest of the picture.

i think this was a really good idea. maybe you should have shined the light on the right side, or left to make it more interesting than just the center. its still a really cool shot and i like it a lot :]

It’s really surreal, and looks more like a painting, then a picture. It’s really pretty.

I like how they used the light to illuminate the glass.

I think that the depth of field could be a little shorter.

The mood is fantasy. It looks like something not from this world.
