The idea of the photograph came from Jill Greenberg’s End Times series which is photographs of children crying showing her anger towards the Bush Administration and the Christian Fundamentalism. I had my cousin Kaysa to pretend to be sad. I added water drops to her face to make her look said. Also I used a lot of natural light and a white blanket for the background for the light to bounce off of. When I edited the photograph, I used high pass, sharpening, and noise to make it more like Jill Greenberg’s work.

I can tell you put a lot of work into this photo, although I wasn’t sure if she was crying until I read your message I still think it’s a nice photo. That was a good idea to use the white blanket because it lightens the photo and gives it a certain “feel”.
