Audrey

This is a picture I took of my friend’s daughter a previous weekend. I was experimenting for my famous photographer assignment and this is what I came up with. I cropped the picture and made some small changes. I like how it turned out.

I like this picture. The little girl just looks hilarious. Something about her is completely representative of childhood. The haphazard way she holds her doll, the scowl on her face, the feeling of how small she is, everything about her works together. Even her shadow makes her look small. Also, the white line in the background works to your advantage here, I think. It allows there to be a more muted subject in the background, and break up monotony without becoming distracting. Good job.

i reeeeeally like this picture. i think it represents the innocents of a child very well and the use of shadow is great! you also made a really good selection when you were croping; there is nothing that distracts from the main subject of the photo. excellent work!
