Pine Cone

This was a result from my close ups assignment. I tried to get as close to the pine cone as I could with it to be in focus. I really liked how the inside of the pine cone was dark and as it got towards the edges, it gets lighter. Also, the points that are closest to the camera are out of focus. I tried to keep it on the left side of the frame because it was leaning that way, which made it look like it was leaning into the picture. I bumped up the ISO because my house was dark and tried to keep my camera as still as possible.

I like that you are able the tiny grooves on the pinecone. I also like that you used rule of thirds, because it enabled you to turn a seemingly boring subject into something more interesting. The levels in this photo really make it pop.

I really like this picture. It gives such a detailed view of a pinecone. Although I feel that the lighting could have been better throughout the whole pinecone to show all of it. All of it is in focus and it’s a great photo.

This is a really good macro photo. I can see the texture very well, it almost as if I can see the real pine cone in real life only better.

I like the textures in the pine cone. In addition, the angle of the subject is quite interesting. Although over all I like the picture, I don’t care of the colouring of the background. It would have been more enjoyable to look at if it was black.

Oh this is amazing! I love the sepia tone it really adds to the photo! I really enjoyed this; I loved the angle you put it at. (:
