I took this picture at school for the shutter speed assignment we just had. I decided that lots of the time people take still shots of running water for shutter speed, so I wanted to do something different. To get the picture to turn out like this I had the subject sit on a chair in the middle of an open space while having five or six other students walk around her while my camera was shooting. I had to turn the shutter speed really slow for this, I took many pictures between 1" and 10", this picture is one of the 10 second shots. Becuase the shutter was open so long, I had to turn the aperture up really high so less light could get in.

well done, tyler. i'm proud of you.
the shutter speed was set perfectly, although i think you should've had more people walking around the subject, so you could tell more easily that there were people walking around her.
This picture puts me in a sad mood, and that's good if thats what ur going for. The gloomy lighting and darker / duller colors does the job well.
good job
I really like this picture, you can see the faces of the people around her. It sets a kind of ghastly mood with the type of shutter speed you used. This looks like a hard picture to get right. props. Although it could have been a little more colorful, over all this is a great pic! WHOO!

i love how u can somewhat see the face of the dude in the corner. this picture is one of the best i have seen on the blog yet keep it up.
This a great picture. I like how the people almost look like smoke around the subject. Great job focusing on the subject and keeping still for that loooong shutter.
This is a really good picture compared to the rest that are on the blog.. The people walking around kind of look like smoke, if the shutter was just a tad bit slower you would be able to see the people a little better, which in my opinion would have made the picture better.
This is a great photo. I really like it because it makes me think that the girl is depressed and time just keeps slipping past her as she accomplishes nothing. It seems like days go bye and she doesnt even know it. Exellent shutter speed!
Wow, interesting picture! I think it's okay as it is; if the people around her were more visible it would distract me from the central subject. I would, however, straighten the photo and use a higher contrast. Great idea for her to have her hood up too; sets the atmosphere even more depressing (in a good way).
I really like this photo. It looks like the girl in the photo is depressed and time just keeps slipping right by her. Its almost as if she was lost and cant find her. She looks like she doesnt know what to do. Awesome shutter speed!
Great photo. if i didnt know her better i would say she was depressed or something. as unclear as the people are to define i can sort of see a couple peoples faces
With so much grey and neutral color in this photo, you get cold/dark/depressing vibes, which is a good thing. The movement is ghastly and the lighting works. "Lost in a sea of thoughts"
Very cool concept. Good creativity!

This is a really nice picture if you wanted people to be able to see that there was different people walkin by you shoulda had them walk slower so you could make out more faces but llike having one other subject in the pic. FORTE
