FALL COLORS

Description: I was walking around in my neighborhood and I noticed a bright yellow leaf laying on a pile of dark leaves. I loved the contrast of the different colors and I thought that I would take a few pictures for my Autumn assignment and I really liked the way that this one turned out.

The Golden Sheers

Description: This photo I took for our close up assignment, I really like how it came out; it is a picture of my sisters cosmetology scissors that she had laying on a chair, I like how the flash is reflected off of the golden handle, and how the one pair is in focus but everything else is not in focus.

Water Droplets

Taking this photo was a challenge. I took this in my garage I set up two lamps and a strobe light, plus I used flash. I must have taken at least 60 pictures and this is the only one that came out exactly the way I wanted. In total it must have taken an hour and a half but well worth it.

Emerald Ridge Trees

I took this picture in front of my school for a fall theme assignment. I went to image adjustments and changed my levels to bring out the color of the leaves.

Autumn Evening

I took this picture because I was looking out my window and I noticed how the sky looked. I really liked the way it looked and I wanted to take a picture of an Autumn evening.

1970 Oldsmobile 442

Description: I took this picture in the beginning of the school of year. I mainly focused on the front end of the car and wanted to get the whole side so you could see the depth of the car. I got down near the ground and started taking pictures and I started to stand up a little more each shot to see what I could get. I didn’t have to use the flash or adjust white balance. The lighting was perfect, just before dusk. The color of the car really stands out against the gray of the road, the blue of the sky and the trees in the background. I’m pretty happy with the way the picture turned out.

Bubbly Flowers

Description: I went to a park somewhere and I saw this weird plant. It looked kind of cool and the pictures came out really good. I really liked the lighting too.

WASP!

Description: One day during this past summer my little sister and I were at a park taking pictures and we discovered a wasp nest right in the swing set. My little sister ran home afraid of getting stung but I was very intrigued. I kept trying to capture the shot when ever one landed on the wood beams but eventually with enough patience I captured it. I messed around with Photoshop when it came to the levels but I think it turned out into a great picture.

One Way Out

This photo was taken in Elbe Washington on a trip. The picture has everything in focus, but the heavy color modifications might make that harder to notice. I did the modifications to the color as an experiment and enjoyed the darker feel it adds to the picture. I also enjoy how you can see the lines in between the stones. I don’t particularly enjoy the random things at the bottom but it’s not ruined. Being I’m a more abstract thinker, I guess it make sense to say this is a pretty abstract picture.
