One Way Out

This photo was taken in Elbe Washington on a trip. The picture has everything in focus, but the heavy color modifications might make that harder to notice. I did the modifications to the color as an experiment and enjoyed the darker feel it adds to the picture. I also enjoy how you can see the lines in between the stones. I don’t particularly enjoy the random things at the bottom but it’s not ruined. Being I’m a more abstract thinker, I guess it make sense to say this is a pretty abstract picture.

This photo is fun to look at, the dark colors work well and are very pretty. The position of the sign makes it interesting and the different textures of the background move your eyes around the whole picture.

This photo is really interesting! It is original and I love it. I would honestly frame this in my house it is really cool. Photos that stand out and are different from the average apeal to me and this one in particular caught my eye. It reminds me of city life with an urbany feel. It's really interesting.

I have to say, the color contrasts have a murky effect on the background, making the subject all the more appealing as do the conflicting textures. Plus the asthetic of the sign itself, darkened and slightly angled has a symbolic purpose, to show life isn't one straight path, or all roses and sunshine. All in all, a great shot.

The detail in the is great. I love how it gives off a dark and run down but also pretty and colorful vibe. And I like how the "one way" sign is the main object but at the same time, isn't the only object that the eye focuses on. Great job!

I love the urban feel to this picture! The crooked angle in which the sign lies makes what would be an ordinary picture great! I love the brick background! The deep horizontal lines broken up by the diagonal line the sign creates gives the picture something unique and interesting to look at. Im not sure if i particularly like the wooden thing to the right. The multiple colors in the wood are almost distracting. I do however like the old worn away look to both the wall and the sign it gives the picture character. Overall great picture!

This is a very interesting shot and the colors add more depth rather than make it less sharp. It's really cool how the one way sign is crooked, that isn't how you usually think of a road sign. Really cool idea, good job.

I love all the different textures that are in this picture. They contrast very well against each other. The colors are also great. I like how it looks like you left the sign how you found it and it’s not lined up with anything or straight. The lighting is awesome; I love how dark it is at the top of the picture. Great job.

I really like the dark colors of this picture, and the way that the sign stands out. However, the wood on the left, I'm not so sure of. It is distracting to the eye, and I think it would have been a better shot without the wood, and just the green/blue brick. Overall, I think it's a really creative picture...so good job! :)

This is a really cool concept for a photo. It's dark in the right places to make the colors really pop. The zebra print looking background is also really cool and adds texture to the picture. Really good job!
