This was the most challenging picture I have ever taken. To do this I used a tutorial from photographer and artist William van der Steen called “Create Wonderful Sliced Fruit Images”. I had to use tons of light so that less shadows would show up. I had an exposure of 1/250 sec. Toothpicks held the strawberry slices up; to remove the toothpicks I used the stamp tool in Photoshop.

This is really cool. It looks like the photo came out nicely. I don't even see a sign of there being a toothpick before. This is a very creative picture. Nice job!

I really love this picture! I love how the colors pop so well. I also love how you set the strawberry up. This is a really cool picture and I love it! -MM SPHS
This is such a fantastic photo. I love the simplicity of the photo but the fact that it was such a challenging shot makes the picture more admirable. I love the angle down shot and the bright colors coming from the strawberries. Great job!

I love how this photo gives out the illusion that the strawberry is floating in the air. I had to read the description and find out that it’s a toothpick that is holding it together. I love how bright the strawberry came out to be. I love it!
I see a food photography job in your future! What panache, what style, you have created a true masterpiece! I must learn your ways, for you are a true photographer.
This is an amazing photo! You did a great job of photoshoping the toothpick out. The depth of field is used very well, and the colors are also very vibrant.
I love this photo! It’s very unique and your technique was interesting to read about. The lighting is perfect, and the strawberry is perfectly clear, overall quality photo. :)
