Uniform Emotions

Xavier N
My fascination with finesse, consistency, and uniformity has not yet left my line of vision. I’ve worked diligently to invoke a sense of youthful aristocracy in my photos. I’ve been told my style of photograph has developed and I am very happy with this statement. The models I choose to work with are increasingly understanding of what I need from them to create an image. The collaborative efforts between us, and others who sometimes help, are paramount to the construction and execution of each shoot. I am so satisfied with these combined efforts. For this photo we worked in a small space to prevent light from escaping; we had many lamps close to the subject as well as behind to capture the cyan backdrop, and even after some crucial editing (predominately recolor,) I had no difficulty with the shadows within the image. I colored the darker areas of the photo, such as the subject’s hair, for vibrancy, doubled the image for uniformity. I no longer want starkness, color is too attractive.

I am in love with your photos. They are so mysterious and dark. Even though I love this photo as it is, I would have had one of the pictures of her looking at the other in envy/hate. Just an idea though. :) Great job as always.
