I got this idea from a picture I saw online one time. At first I tried taking the pictures in normal light, but when I did that I wasn’t able to capture the shadow of the ring on the pages. In order to get the heart shadow down the spine of the book I had to get the right lighting and the right camera angle. I went into a dark room and put the book to the side of a single lamp, and then I took the picture directly above the book. When I did this I was able to get the heart shadow in the book.
