Childhood Memories

Our January theme assignment was ‘grab bag’, where we choose an object in a bag and photograph it. I got my favorite childhood toy. It was a challenge trying to find different angles to shot, or how to position the slinky, but I managed some ideas.

I love this photo! The angle from which you took the photo is really unique. I also like how the slinky is in focus and the background is out of focus. I like the contrast between the bright colored slinky and the grey ground and the way the slinky pops from this background. I also like the way the slinky leads the eye in the photo. I also think your title for this photo is very true because this photo makes me think about my childhood as well.

This is a great picture. I like the angle you ended up shooting from. The background of the house was a great idea! The focuses on the slinky is great with the background blurred, but visible. I like the contrast in color with the white from the sky in the top right corner and the dark gravel in the bottom half. The angle is what adds character to this photograph though. Great job!

I like the one central color in this picture. I also like how the focus of the picture is the middle of the slinky and by bending it you tied the picture together nicely. I don't know if I like the angle as much because it almost seems like the slinky should be sliding down to the right but its not. I also would suggest you don't crop so tightly because having the entire slinky in the shot might look a little better. Very good job!

I really like this picture. I love the angle that it was taken from, it makes the observer look deeper to see what it is. I like that it is just a simple slinky, but it looks special. The lighting is perfect because the shadows really help define the slinky. I like that the slinky is the only thing with color; it adds more definition. The lines of the slinky look super cool. This is a really cool picture!

I think this photo is very unique. The subject is great and the angle of the camera works really well for this shot. I like how the slinky is the only pop of color in the photo because it immediately grabs your attention. However, I wish the color was just a little bit brighter because against the gray, it looks a little muted. Also, I would try to sharpen up the slinky a little more to make it really stand out. Overall, this is a really good shot.
