I took this photo for a themed project a few months ago. I was just looking for good picture opportunities in a park down in Orting and saw a lot of leaves and just placed three on the steps of a slide. I like the way that they turned out.

This was a very good attempt at a creative picture - but it's just not quite great. First off, i think the colors and textures are very strong. I love the rusty stairs as well as the contrast between the natural leaves and the old, tarnished, man-made metal. There is also a nice shadow from the railing that adds more interest to the shot. What this picture is lacking is good composition. The balance between the three steps is off. I see that you were probably fitting in as many steps as you could but also staying inside the railing, but it looks off. You can also see part of the red sides and that makes the picture look sort of sloppy. I think this is a creative concept worth trying again - it could be a really great photograph. After all of that, you could also ramp up the levels and contrast adjustments to really make the colors pop. Very nice though - really.
