This picture was part of my winter assignment, even though it may not seem very wintery. We got snow, but I knew everyone would take pictures of the snow so I waited until it melted, and then we got tons of rain! It’s not what first comes to mind when you think winter, but it was a unique opportunity to stand out. I like this one the most because the tree looks barren but I also got the chance to show how much water flooded in my backyard. Even though the tree is in the center, I like it the way it is. And I also like how there is a little reflection in the water.

I like that there is a clear subject, but also a clear foreground and background as well.
Single center of interest.
The lighting is very simple, there are very little shadows or darkness.
There is a mood of simplicity and ease.
