On my way to school, I was captivated by the vivid colors of the sunrise. To capture the natural colors and beauty of the sunrise, I set the exposure at -2. I also tried it at -1 and 0 but the colors did not turn out as bright as those in the actual sky. I wanted to capture the silhouette of the trees along the bottom of the photo to create more depth to the photo. I don’t think it would’ve turned out as well if it had just been a picture of the sky during sunrise. The only changes I made were adjusting the Brightness/Contrast on this photo and using the clone tool to edit out a spot. Other than that, this is how it turned out. If I could do it again I would’ve brought along a tripod so I could’ve used aperture priority to let in more of the sun’s light. But for the most part, I really happy with how it turned out.

This photo is very calming...I like how the tree line cuts the photo in half. Also, the orange glow and sun rays are also a nice effect. Keep up the good work :)
yes very calming... this is justin from ERHS CO 07 and I love out door photos like this one, good job!
I really like the clouds in this photo. Rule of thirds was used well and the lighting was good for capturing the silhouette of the trees.
I like the tones that this picture has. I think if there was more detail within the trees themselves (hence more light, like you said you would have done) it would have been even cooler.
