I took this picture in my friends yard out of state over the summer. I took this photo because it attracted my eye the moment I walked in their garden. When I came home, I decided to make it look a little more attractive to the eye so I photo shopped the background so it was black & white. Only the flowers had its original color. I think this photo turned out a lot better then I expected.

I like the fact that there is different shades in the photo. The emphasis is one the flowers which kind of make the flower stand out more. The flowers in the back is also a nice touch to the photo.

i like the subject of this photo- the flowers are beautiful. i also like the light source- the light seems to shine directly on the flowers and then the background remains dark, which provides contrast and makes the flowers stand out. however, i don't see the black and white adjustment that you mentioned. also, the picture could be much more interesting with a better composition. i wish you would have gotten more up close and personal to the flowers.

This picture is really eye catching. It is a beautiful flower. I agree with that this flower would be the first to catch my eye in the garden. The shadows on the ground help tell the angle of the sunlight.

I like how there are different shades of the tulips because it makes them stand out more than the yellow flowers. I can't tell what they are but they help to compliment the tulips. I like how there is a shadow in the background because (to me) it looks like the tulips are being exposed to the light, like they are moving. Besides gardening is a hobby of mine. : )
