Photo by: Nikki Woods, 5th period
This picture was taken for my glass assignment that I still haven’t turned in. I went around my house looking for things to take pictures of and in my moms room I found this candle, I took pictures of it being lit and then I was rushed to go out the door, so I blew it out and noticed that it looked better with the smoke coming out than the flame so I took a few shots and ran out the door.

Miss Advisee

I know you have a good eye. This picture is very well taken. I love the smoke effect and the blurred background but the stong point on the candle i believe. I'm Loving It.

this is really good. i like the detail in the smoke and the black background goes well with the image

Even if this were not a rushed photograph, its still very good. Like snowflakes, smoke patterns are never alike others, and thats what makes these shots work so well. My only suggestion would be to crop out the bottom portion (the base of the candle) because it really leaves the eye at a dead-end. But this shot is very well taken. I'd like to see what shots you can produce when you have more time.

Also, I completely understand not turning in work. It gets all of us, sooner or later.

Nice picture, i like the backgrounds, color and how it compares to the smoke color, it's really soothing. One thing i think that could be better is possibly centering the candle, so that the rim on the left shows, and that the whole candle shows.

hey i havent turned in this assignment in either. this photo is cool. the background is very fitting for the picture, it makes the smoke and candle stick out more. how you captured the smoke is cool it looks like a spirit is going to be summoned.whoo.

I like how clear the smoke is this photo. It makes it look like it is isolation or a finished look. Good job

I love pictures that have smoke! Personally I would have set up a red background or something and just captured the smoke. But I really like how cool the smoke looks

This Photo is alittle bit different, but I like it. The smoke really catches your attention and it really makes the photo come alive.

This is a really cool picture; smoke is really cool in the way it moves. It gives me good ideas on some future assignments. If the picture had a red background it would have looked really cool

Very Cool! I really like the smoke as it adds a nice effect to the photo and the distortion in the glass really fits the assignment well. At first, I thought the bowl was made of metal due to the distortion in the glass looking like chrome. The only thing that could be fixed is not cutting off the bowl on the left side, but otherwise, great job!

The smoke effect just makes this picture jump out and catches your eye. The black background makes this picture really stand out and makes it look unreal. Great job on the whole thing!

I really like this pic because it kinda looks like a professional picture. The blurred background is what made this picture really cool.
