Fire-Chief Gasoline

Photo by: Alesia Winters, Period 6

One weekend a couple friends of mine and myself were invited to stay up in Seattle for the weekend. We wandered around Capitol Hill all day long. We kept ourselves busy by going into every single store possible. We were playing around at a vintage thrift store and I noticed this old gas pump in the corner. It was still early in the afternoon so the sun was just starting the creep in the windows, thats what the light blue at the top of the photo is. Enjoy.

This is a good picture, because it is well lit, i like the blue lighting at the top and the darkness at the bottom it makes for nice contrast. The red is nice also how it is dark at the bottom and light at the top even though we know its the same color throughout.

Terrific Photo. It makes me believe that I am really in the gas station . You know broken brick wall and the lighting. OH so sweet, so very very sweet. Great Job my EYE has been caught.

Cool vibes. I like the “old gas station” feeling you get in this photo. The cracked and exposed brick wall and fade-in on the light in the upper left corner of the photo really add to it as well. It just doesn’t get much cooler then a really old, fire engine red gas pump, what can I say?

I like this picture for the lighting mostly. Plus the background is quite plain except for the brick showing thourgh. And the gas pump is really ole timey.

great photo, i like how retro this picture is. the contrast is great with the blue light, red gas, and how it progessively gets darker. i also like the part of brick wall it adds a imperfect-perfect feeling. ya feel? props

I like the lighting a lot. And the composition is good.

I like this picture because of the lighting in the back and the cracked wall with the brick under it gives it a lot of character

This is pretty freaking cool. There is a variety of things to look at but then again its so simple. I love the blue and red and the little bit of brick wall. I wouldn’t say to do anything different but maybe try out some different angles.

I like this picture a lot. I don’t think it would be as interesting without the lighting... I like the way the blue and red contrast. It really makes the picture pop. I like the old brick wall because it gives the photo more of a vintage look.
