Blow All The Candles Out, Make A Wish But Not Aloud

This is a picture that I did for my lines, textures, and patterns assignment, this picture was for the patterns section. To get this I lit several candles, turned out the lights but used a red light to make them appear red. I focused on the center candles, the shutter speed was fairly high. I like this picture because it is calming, I love the colors, and I like fire. I got what I wanted accomplished, which was a pattern made from things I enjoy and makes people think ( I hope ).

I love this picture. I voted this one for the best 6th period photo. In my opinion it would have been better if all the flames were straight (no air blowing against them) so it would look consistent, but I know that trying to do that is kinda hard. Nice photo :)

nice idea, I wish you had a bit of light toward the bottom of the candles so I could see a little detail there. It also looks like it could be rotated to the right a few degrees.

I really enjoy looking at this photo because it feels my head with so many thoughts. I think of it as kind of a romance theme but then i think of it as something that would be at a funeral. I think if there was more of the candles showing it wouldve made it perfect. Nice job.

Using lit candles to take photos is something I enjoy doing all the time cuz fire is so lifelike and always changing. I wonder if you tried different shutter speeds I think this is a good speed b/c the flames in focus are at a standstill but the out of focus ones have some flare very nice. FORTE
