Oranges

This is one of the photos I took for my Colors assignment. I set up a white backdrop, and 2 big studio lights. The way the oranges were arranged created many dark shadows, which made it difficult for me to get a usable shot. To edit this picture I slightly changed the levels on Photoshop. I am very pleased with how this picture came out!

I like how you took such and everyday subject and made it unique. Even though there are three subjects, you make the front one the center of attention through the depth of field you use. I love all the texture you caught in the orange, but also the color range from the lighting you used.

I like how you used the rule of thirds here to get a good product of such simple objects. The coloring is nice and I also like the fact that the shadows add a sense of contrast.

I like the subject; I think it’s really cool to use real oranges. Most people would use fake ones, so this looks awesome.
I love the lighting, I really like how bright the oranges are and in focus the front one is while the back one is blurry. Great use of depth of field!
The mood is happy and Spring-y!!! :)

I love the simplicity of this photo. The lighting is perfect, and the orange is clear and crisp. The only thing that would make this photo better is if you zoomed in more on the main orange slice, creating a more small depth of field look. Overall, nice job! :)

I really like this picture because I love oranges they are so good. I like how you focused in on the front two oranges to make them stand out more. Also the lighting makes them look like they are juicy oranges, which is appealing.

I like this because the background is blurred out. It has great depth of field and how the colors blend greatly together. I like the colors in this photo. – kSO
