Underwater vortex

This is one of the photos I took for my splash assignment. I used a tripod and my camera was on flash with a 1\200 shutter speed. I also used a big glass bowl with a beach towel for the background and a water bottle with a nozzle to make the splashes. It was pretty tough timing the splashes right and getting the splashes in the right spot to be in focus. This was one of the few successful pictures I took. What I like about this picture are the greens and blues that were reflected in the splash, the whirlpool like shape and the bubbles around the bottom. What I don’t really like how the top rim of the splash is blurry and the back is more in focus. I think that if that part of the splash were more in focus then this picture would look better.

I really like the colors on this photo, its very calming. I like how you centered the splash, but I can’t help wishing the bi-ripples weren’t there. The depth of field is really nice too, ho you have such sharp focus on the splash, but a soft focus on the bottom of the pool.Good Job!

This photo seems a little blue... But I kind of like it. Usually I don’t like off coloring photos but you put this one together rather nicely... I like how the splash is almost in the middle of the photo but slightly off. Great job!
