Into the dark

It was night time and the leaf caught in the light captured my eye. I thought it would be perfect for my autumn assignment. The light was a bit too high for me so I had to try to work with the angle I was given, it was a bit hard. And I had to put the camera settings on a high shutter speed because I couldn’t hold it steady enough for it to be on a low shutter speed, even though the photo ended up a tad blurred still.

I absolutely love the lighting of this photograph. It looks like you took it at night with a long exposure, and I think that you used the rule of thirds very well. I think that this was the perfect photo for the Autumn assignment.

I like this, but I wish it was cropped. The right side of the image seemed a little too, how you say, space like?? If it was cropped to stop at the end of the light, it would bring more attention to the light. Also the light would be in the middle. I really like the leaf in the light. It is beautiful.
