I was out driving with my parents, and I had my camera handy incase I saw anything interesting to shoot. While dropping someone off I notice a beautiful sunset, and knew I had to grab the shot while I still had it. I set my shutter speed to about 1/1200 and had my white balance set on a cloudy setting. By having these settings I was able to have the cars and houses blacked out and only have the black outlining of the trees with a beautiful auburn color in the background. I am happy with the way the picture turned out and was glad I was able to capture it right as the sun was setting.

This picture is beautiful! The color of the sun really stands and caught my attention. It looks great fading into the sky and the black outline of the trees really adds to the picture.

I like that this photo almost looks fake, like a cartoon. Rule of thirds is used. The lighting looks great; the orange goes well with the black trees. This photo reflects a mood of peace and tranquility.
