I was camping at ocean shores with my girlfriend’s family and we got board so we took a walk out to the ocean. I just happen to take my camera to take some pictures. As I was walking I saw this seagull walking in front of me. As I got closer to it the bird started to fly so I put the camera up to my eye and snapped a few pictures of it. I thought this was a very cool picture.

This is an excellent photo! It reminds me a bit of one I saw posted on DPChallenge.com one time. I love how the seagull is a bit off centered, and its actual body is even angled oddly. The water looks strange, kind of like snow. I think that aspect adds a sense of serenity to the shot. The color scheme is mostly gray and light, and very calming. The only suggestion I have is maybe taking the rock out from the upper left corner. Maybe clone stamp? But all in all, this is definitely one of the best photos Emerald Ridge has produced this year! Great job!
