Latte

This photo I took was for a project in my photo 2 class. It was to make a recipe and I chose to do a latte from my work. All I did was set the cup on the table and focused on the cup. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. If I was to change anything about the photo, I would have had the right side of the cup not so bright and a little more focused.

I like the colors chosen for this picture, it gives it a Christmas-y/wintery look. They did a good job doing the center of interest. It needs a lot of work however though, in the background, its not straight, it is diagonal. The cup is out of focus too, it looks blurry and you cant see the detail of what is in the cup.

I like the idea of this picture, but the picture itself isn't really good. It is not straight which is distracting, especially the wall. You also can not tell what exactly is in that cup, and it looks like it is about to fall out. I do like the reflection and the bright colors.

I love this picture for the type of style behind it. It’s very coffee shop like, and I love it! Your technical feature you used was aperture. You really got that big coffee cup the main focus. The type of elements of composition towards this is central subject matter. That coffee cup is the subject. The type of mood that this picture gives off is like a relaxful day in the coffee shop. Nice job!

I really enjoyed looking at this picture but my thirst for the latte managed to exceed my awe. This is a great shot. I liked the colors as well and the white of the cup had a nice contrast to the colors in the background. I do agree that the picture is obviously diagonal, but that is the greatest thing I liked about this picture. The slant made an illusion in my head. I actually thought that the coffee was going to fall of the edge and i actually screamed inside and made a visual attempt to rescue it (i know, it's crazy but true). The edge of the table is nice too. If there were to be a fix, it would have to be the white of the cup on the right side. It is contrast but the white is almost blinding. Is there anyway you could make the cup pop out more? Maybe sharpen it? Overall, good job. -RC, SPHS

I like the coffee shop feel to this photograph. I like how the focus is on the cup so it is the obvious center of interest. I wish the cup was a little bit darker so we could see what was inside of it better. I also think the camera being slightly tilted and making the wall slanted distracts from the subject a little bit. I do like the story and feeling behind this picture!

I like the simplicity of this photo. The lighting and positioning of the cup are good. And the colors give off a warm feeling.

I really like the colors in this shot. They help move my eye around the image. A couple things you could do to improve the shot would be to fix the rotation. Its slightly crooked and it distracts from the rest of the picture. It would also help to brighten the background just a little. Other than that i think it looks pretty good. SPHS
