It Speaks for Itself

This is a picture I took of my friend Dan. I really like the way his eyes are looking. I took the picture in color and then adjusted the hue after I made it black and white. Then I colored in his ribbon. I think the ribbon really makes it stand out, and gets the meaning of the picture across. I love how it turned out.

This is a great shot. The position of his face in the frame is excellent. A normal color image would not have done this picture justice. I love how you changed the mood of the picture by adding the effects you did. This photograph really makes a bold statement. Great shot!

This picture is very visually appealing. Obviously, as the title states, the message behind this photo is very strong. There is a certain sense of sadness I think. It’s a different kind of feeling, almost indescribable. The ribbon adds a little bit of color and draws the eye, but I think it almost detracts from the words on the bandana. All in all, this is an excellent, original, and unique photograph.

I really like this picture. It's so purely honest. The raw truth, daring anyone to defy it or disagree. I like that it is in b&w, but I think it could have a little more contrast in the b&w. Other than that, awesome picture.

This picture has a great meaning to it. Although, photographically, it needs some work. It would have been a bit better if you had more light on his face, or made the cloth around his mouth brighter. Some more contrast would help too, because it would bring the ribbon out more. Great picture, I really love the meaning.

I like the message that is being sent in this picture. It has good composition but I would add more contrast so that the colored ribbon stands out more, because I didn’t even notice it until I read your description. Also, I think that the background could be lighter to make him stand out. Overall, it is a good picture.

I really like the message behind this photo. I do think it would have more of an impact if you had put the ribbon on the other side of him or if you had moved him over so that the ribbon was easier to see. It takes a moment to notice it when it's just shoved in the corner like that. His eyes are perfect for this picture though and it really is a clever idea.
