Tacoma At Night

I took this the night I went to Tacoma to see what I could find. I was surprised to see how lit up downtown is at night. With this photo I wanted to capture the business of I-5 in the shadow of the downtown scene. I can’t say I’m completely satisfied with the photo. If I had the chance to shoot it again I would of adjusted the aperture so the picture was sharper and had more detail.

I actually like this photo a lot. I like the way you used a slow shutter speed to get the head and tail lights of the moving cars. What I wish you could have done, though I know that there is no way for you to be able to have any sort of control of the matter, was that if it were sort of stop and go traffic so there would be silhouettes of the cars and the lines of the moving cars. I just believe that would be pretty interesting. Anyway good photo.

This is a great photo assignment cause we had to do it at our school. You've done a fantastic job on you camera placement. I like how it is above the traffic, my only concern is that the background isn't very crisp in focus. Overall great job!

This picture is really good. I like how the shutter speed is really slow but there is no shake in the picture at all. This is a real good idea and it was done even better than the idea was good.

Well done Gerry. A nice effect and you obviously used a tripod (or can hold your camera VERY still for a long time).

This is a really good photo. I am drawn to the white and red streams of light. These night time shutter speed photos always turn out great. Although the other lights such as the street lamps are too bright, it is still a good photo.
