Night Lights

I took this photo at the Puyallup Fair around 9pm. While I was taking pictures of this ride moving, it stopped to unload a few passengers while I was looking through my lens. I mounted the camera on the metal fence separating me from the ride and zoomed in on the light bulbs that were on the ride’s long metal arms. The whole time I was there, I was trying to take different shots of rides that weren’t your typical cliché fair photo. I’m pretty happy with how clear this turned out, since my lighting was very low and I wasn’t equipped with a tripod. The only thing I manipulated was the levels, and I changed the edges of the metal over the red bulbs to a tint of purple.

I like this shot because it's almost impossible to know what it is unless you spend a lot of time at, uh, fairs. In that respect it's almost an abstract shot, with good coloring and composition. Very cool

I like this picture because you cant see what the picture is really of. But I can imagine what kind of atmosphere It was taken. I think you did a great job of using an artistic eye and making something that was probably pretty typical stand out. I also like how the lights in the back are blurry and you can only see the front ones accurately.

This is a really crazy picture. It won’t let your eyes focus on one part. Great color use and how the lights kind of go away. Great Picture!
