Untitled

Photo by Ashley Ferrell, 6th Period
When I first was trying to take a picture of a single leaf on a tree I wanted the sun in the background but the sun was too bright for the picture to turn out. So I went and tried it from a different angle. It was still bright enough for the leaf to stand out and with nothing in the background it was a perfect shot. At first I just thought it would be cute. When I printed it if you look closely you can see the little bugs on the leaf and the leaf is like see through. It really looks good with the red tips on the leaf.

not that it's, terribly out of focus, but only the center of the leaf is in focus. you should've made the whole leaf in focus. but i really like the contrast between the red, yellow and blue. this is a nice shot.

This is a beautiful picture! I like the contrast if the leaf against the clear blue sky. The focus is great, being able to see the seeds through the leaf is cool.

I think it is a really tremendous leaf. We do not have that variety, what is it? I like the shot for the reasons already stated. I think that it might wok better as a vertical composition, cropping out the sky with light area on the left and a bit of the leaf on the right. The vertical composition would complement the upward movement of the leaf.

The only thing I can think of that would add to this photo is if there was nothing at all in the background and the sun glare was gone but the flower in the middle has good focus on middle and a nice color so nice job. FORTE
