Photo by Cami Medlock, 5th PeriodI took this picture for a shutter speed assignment. I had had the idea in my head for a while, so when my brother and his friend decided to go play tennis, I tagged along to take a few shots. To get the placement I had my brother place the tennis ball at the top of the net and drop it so I could take the picture in time. I didn’t mean for the background to be so dark, but I think it works for this photo because it contrasts well with the ball, the top of the net and the light hitting the net.

this is a really good picture. it's very crisp and in focus. i like the angle and the contrast between the ball and the dark background.

love it very clear and shows aspect of shutter speed
Nice focus. I like the lighting too; not too bright, but not too dark. I would say that the background could have been a different color to bring out the color of the net, but it looks fine.
By the way, is your brother Brad Medlock?
this is a great picture. the clearness is great. i like how the background is black so everything is crisp. the net looks extra white and the ball looks extra green.
I like this picture; it captures your eye very well. It almost looks like it should be used for an advertisement. The lighting is very good.
