Over the Mountains

Stefanie P.

Well I took this photo for the panoramic assignment, I know that it’s a traditional photo but I really like the way it came out.

Perdy

This flower was in my front yard. I like how close I got to the flower and got every little detail.

Mount Rainier

I took this picture for the Panorama assignment. I think it came out well. The only thing I really don’t like about the picture is the lens was dirty, so I’ll be checking on that from now on. Overall I think the lighting was descent for having a rainy week.

GRR

Description: Originally I took this photo as part of my panoramic assignment; it was but a component in a huge 100 foot mural. For blog postings though I needed pictures, so I isolated this part of the wall, it is Grr the robot from Invader Zim, a cult classic. The picture was very bland and grey in the original, white balance was a little off and it was just flat all around. Five layers later though, with editing entailing; levels, exposure, saturation, de-saturation, adding noise, blurring, a linear burn, varying opacities, and some other minutia this is the final result.

Perfect

Description: I took this in my back yard. Sometimes a bunch of these flowers pop up and this one looked the most perfect somehow. I edited the lighting in photoshop.

Sunlight

I took this picture for the lighting experiments assignment. This was an example of colored lighting. I really liked the way it turned out. The only thing I don’t like is that there is something on my camera lens. All I did to the picture was crop and mess with the levels a little bit.

Orting panoramic

By: Jenny B.

I took this picture for our panoramic assignment in class and I was really happy about the way it turned out. I went out on a nice sunny day so I would be able to get good lighting. I also like the way the picture captures all the aspects of Orting such as the suburban housing, some of the farm land and also the vast forest that is there too. Overall I was glad that I got to learn this technique and look forward to doing more panoramics.

Downtown Theater

By Danielle P.

I took this picture for the Travel Washington assignment we had in class. I went down to my grandparent’s house over spring break and took pictures of the old theater down town Mount Vernon. I think this picture was one of the best that I took.

Kaiti had no title

By: Kaiti D

Description: I took this picture of my older brother for a portrait assignment. I got a lot of really good pictures of him, but this one was of my favorites. I had him lean up against a tree and just smile, he is very photogenic.

Through the grass

I took this picture of Nikki for my outdoor portrait assignment. I was messing with all the pictures in photoshop and I happened to turn this of to sepia and I really liked it. I like how she’s looking at the grass in wonder. I also like how the trees in the background are darker.
