Blue

By: Rachel L.
When I took this picture I was trying to focus on depth of field, like in the background the truck is all blurry. I really liked how this picture turned out. And the color of the the pots were.

Men Down

I took this picture for our grab bag assignment and I really like the colors, and how all the army men are scattered around.

Elli

I took this picture when my cousin came to visit with her daughter Elli. My little sister and I brought her out on our trampoline and I decided to take some photos of her laughing and having fun. I got this picture out of all of them and I really like it. I also like how the sun is hitting her so it’s nice and bright.

Little Bear

This is a picture I took of the teddy bear I gave my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. I went over to his house and he had it sitting on his bed. I thought it was cute how it had fallen over and decided it’d be a good subject for pictures. I took a few different shots, but this one was my favorite. I like the way he was laying down; it reminded me of a little boy dropping his teddy bear while he rushed to go play outside. I also thought it was neat that his bow and the sheets tied together perfectly. If I had put more thought into it I think I could’ve gotten a more creative shot, but I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Paige’s River

I took this picture of my friend Paige down at the river bank in Orting yesterday. We were just bored so we went out and took some pictures and I liked the way that they turned out. I edited the hue and saturation a bit and dodged it a bit, all in all I like the look of it.

Bronwyn

By: Rachel W.
When we had the snow a couple weeks back, my brother was outside playing with the neighbor I ran inside and grab the camera and decided to take some pictures. I chose this picture because you can tell she looks really focused on the icicle. I also like it because she didn’t realize I took the picture until after I took it.

Spinning Around

I took this photo for one of my grabbag shots. The item I got was a yellow top, so I put it with a bunch of other items to try to make it seem interesting. I used a decently long shutter speed to get the top slightly blurred and a light so the shoes were not dark.

Let’s Play Monopoly!

Taken by: Maria C.
I took this picture for my grab bag assignment, I got toy cars so I tried several of shots on the ground but then I got the sudden idea of putting them on the monopoly game board so it looked like the car on the actual game but bigger and more colorful. I tried making the corner of the game board stand out a bit more and fix the yellow on the car so there wasn’t as many cracks on it.

Escape to the mountain!

I took this photo originally in my coldasac where I live on one of the snow days. My friend Brandi wore wintery clothes and I Did her hair and make-up for this shoot. I wanted more of and interesting background though, so I went on the internet, found the picture of the mountain and pasted just her on the background. I used the dodge tool to blend all around her on the edges so it didn’t look like I just pasted it on there, I tried to make it look more real. I also adjusted the lighting to make it match more with the background.

Rolando Reaccentuate

This picture was taken in the RAW setting on my camera. It was the first time I used the setting and I really liked how all my pictures turned out. The extra editing tool that opens in Photoshop when I work with these pictures is awesome. It allows me to do more with my pictures. I turned the clarity, saturation, exposure and blacks up in the picture. Shooting in raw is great but it takes a lot of work uploading, editing and saving.
