Blue Eyes

I was working on a macro assignment and my sister kept trying to play with the camera. So I decided to get up close and get her eyes, but as everyone knows babies don’t stay still very long. I didn’t do anything to it because I like it the way it is. If I had to do it again I would like to have captured more of her face.

Starbucks Frenzy

While shooting this, my main focus was to shoot a good close up. I love Starbucks and drinking there Passion tea lemonades so I though that it would make a good close up photograph. I edited the photo a little bit in Photoshop, I brightened the lighting to make the condensation of the water from the cup stand out.

Colors Of Life

In this photo, I placed some pastels and chalk together because I like the colors. As I kept fooling around with the items and trying to build things, it hit me that this was a good picture moment. So I just started clicking away and came out with some really neat shots. This one is my favorite.

Lonley Tracks

I took this picture in downtown Puyallup. I wanted to see what kind of effects I could get with different shutter speeds. I like how this turned out because it shows the solitude of the tracks as well as the life and movement around it. I also like the symmetry in this photo. It was my first time taking night pictures, so let me know if you have any suggestions.

What Was That?

When I was laying on the floor taking pictures, my dog KC came up on wanted to play. When I took a picture she was curious about the sounds that the camera made. So I just took this picture for fun, just messing a round with my dog. It turned out better then I thought.

Corn On The Cob

I recently went to the pumpkin patch with my family during the Halloween season, and I decided to bring along my camera. I was taking pictures for fall and also close ups. I saw the corn and I thought it represented both. I like that you can see the divots in-between cornels and the simple imperfection of nature. I did not use too much Photoshop with this picture; I just adjusted the colors and levels; which made the yellow of the corn much brighter. I am all around pretty happy with the way this picture came out.

Bright And Early

I took this picture over in Covington while we were on choir retreat. When I saw the sun was coming up I thought it would a cool picture to take because of how the sun came through the trees. So tell me what you think.

Chow Down

I snapped a few shots of this spider one day when I was fooling around with my camera. I was trying to see the different settings of the camera when I saw this spider. I just started to take pictures of it from far away and close up. When I load the pictures on the computer I was surprised to see that the spider was eating something while I was taking its picture. I was really happy with the result. I didn’t do anything special to the picture I just adjusted the level of it because I thought it was too dark, so I tweaked it a little.

Golden Delight

I took this picture a while ago. I was shooting close ups with color accent on the flower when the bee landed right in front of my lens. It was a perfect coincidence. I had to be really careful not to bump the flower or the bee since I was so close. I wish the bottom part of the pollen was more in focus, but I think it works in this composition since the focus is directed higher due to the bee’s placement.

Ravaged Intentions

I was taking pictures for my close up assignment and this one really caught my eye. I love how the pink and black go together and how in focus it is.
